Danya Hiob
SLP

Danya Hiob is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) in BC. She graduated in 2015 from McGill University with a Master of Science (Applied) in Speech-Language Pathology. She is registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CSHBC) and a certified member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).
Danya primarily provides services to preteen, teen, and adult clients through her business Purposeful Speech & Language Services. Her speech therapy sessions are tailored to each client’s needs and interests. She is passionate about helping her clients improve their communication skills in ways that have a meaningful, practical impact on their daily lives.
Her areas of professional interest and focus are stuttering, voice, post-stroke speech and language challenges, professional communication, social communication (including autism), speech clarity, and accent modification. Recently, Danya has completed continuing education in the areas of stuttering and voice and will be available at Willow and Sage Counselling’s Burnaby Clinic as well as online.
Kimia Karami
MPEd, BCBA, RASP-A

Kimia is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and RASP-A certified consultant, specializing in supporting young children on the autism spectrum since 2019. She uses compassionate, evidence-based practices grounded in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), with a neuroaffirming, child-led, and play-based approach.
Kimia focuses on building individualized plans that nurture communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and behaviour support. She works collaboratively with families to create meaningful and practical goals and is dedicated to making learning joyful for every child.
Rebecca Van Der Hijde
BCBA, MFT

Thrive with Courage, Connection, and Joy.
Rebecca has over 20 years of experience working with families in a variety of roles. She is both a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and a Marriage + Family Therapist (MFT), with specialized expertise in supporting families raising neurodiverse children. In addition to this focus, Rebecca works with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of challenges.
